“A mature person is one who agrees with you.” — Malcolm Forbes

I read this quote today and had to think twice about it. Can you agree with someone while also believing they’re wrong?

There’s this adage among married couples: you can either be right or happy (which I find rather humorous…).

Doing what’s “right” to you may not always be the only objective outcome.

Yet, there’s a lesson in knowing some things are absolutely worth standing up for — while, perhaps, most things are rather infinitesimal.

If injustice is truly the catalyst of your dialogue, then understanding different people have different levels of injustice can help frame your conversation and give you a sense of if this is truly the hill you want to die upon.
